History of Turtle Creek Village
​
In the early 1960’s, the Turtle Creek property was a serene undeveloped parcel of land on approximately 350 acres. All that existed was the original Hunt Club. In 1969, its facilities consisted of a clubhouse, pool, a large barn and a stable. That same year also began the development of a golf course. Founders of the private golf club purchased the land, merged it with the Hunt Club property, and formed the Turtle Creek Club that still exists today. In the 1970’s, the founders sold the perimeter land of the golf course to real estate developers, where today, in addition to the golf club, exists approximately 420 privately owned dwellings. These dwellings are made up of four separate associations:

Turtle Creek East Association, Inc. condominiums and patio homes

Hunt Club single family homes
In 2008, the four Turtle Creek Associations formed the Turtle Creek Master Property Owner’s Association. The purpose of the Association is to exercise its powers and discharge all duties for its members, such as entry control to the Turtle Creek community, security programs, landscape maintenance, and other services as may be in the best interest of the member communities.

Turtle Creek #1 Association, Inc. was incorporated in 1971 as a not-for-profit corporation. Construction of the 25 buildings containing 150 condominium units was completed in 1978. Each building consists of six units made up of:

3 bedrooms / 2 1/2 baths with living space of approximately 1,900 sq. ft.

3 bedrooms / 2 bath units with approximately 1,600 sq. ft.

2 bedrooms / 2 bath units with approximately 1,400 sq. ft.
All units are provided with a covered parking space along with extra guest parking. There is also a recreation building in the middle of the property which offers unit owners and their guests the use of the clubhouse, swimming pool and BBQ area. The Turtle Creek #1 Association, Inc. sits on 18 acres.
